The live test loads a sample model and attempts an AR session on this device.

What is Peka AR?

Product photos in, artist-finished 3D + AR models on your storefront, in hours.

What each path means

  • Quick Look: Apple's AR viewer on iPhone/iPad (Safari). GLB or USDZ opens in-room.
  • Scene Viewer: Google's Android AR fallback. Fast path from a product page tap.
  • WebXR immersive-ar: the browser-native AR session. Strongest signal of interactive AR support.

The same product page gets a different AR experience on every platform. A shopper on iPhone opens Quick Look, a shopper on Android Chrome gets WebXR or Scene Viewer, and a desktop visitor usually sees no AR at all. This AR compatibility checker probes the device you are on and reports which paths it supports — the same decision Peka AR's embed makes under the hood. See the viewer embed guide for how Peka AR's viewer pairs that decision with a one-line embed.

FAQ

What is AR device compatibility?

Whether a given phone plus browser can open a 3D model in the real world. The three common ways are WebXR (Android Chrome/Edge), Scene Viewer (Android) and Quick Look (iOS Safari). Not every browser supports every path.

Why does the same shopper see AR on one device and not another?

Each platform picks a different launch path. A GLB in Quick Look on iPhone behaves differently from WebXR immersive on Android, and desktop browsers usually have no AR at all. Knowing which path a device has saves you from a support question.

Is this check related to Peka AR?

It mirrors what Peka AR's embed does under the hood: the same viewer container that ships with one line of HTML, with AR modes matched to the platform it finds.

Can I rely on the result for production?

It is a current-device probe, not a certification. Re-check when you change your platform matrix or when Apple/Google update WebXR/ARCore support.
